Today is World Orienteering Day!
According to the International Orienteering Federation (IOF) the goal for this year’s WOD is to have 500.000 participants at 5.000 events in 100 regions worldwide! Can you imagine half a million people all over the world celebrating Orienteering on the same day?
This year, events taking place between May 15th and May 21st can be registered as WOD, increasing the possibility of reaching that goal.
World Orienteering Day is an IOF project that started back in 2016, with the participation of 250k people worldwide, having steadily increased the number of participants every year since.
The vision behind this project is to make Orienteering more visible and accessible to the major public, specially among the young and those unfamiliar with this sport.
If you are participating in a WOD event like me (mine will be at Parque de Santa Catarina in Funchal, Portugal), have a happy WOD!!
Lovely just what I was looking for.

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point. You definitely know what youre talking about, why waste your intelligence on just posting videos to your blog when you could be giving us something enlightening to read?

Wilfred, chek out other posts…. Some are a bit longer, some not so much… it all depends on what I have to say on each subject. And sometimes links and videos express better the information. 🙂
